On Tuesday, December 1st, North Texas APICS will participate in decorating Christmas trees at the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas.  Come lend a hand as we create the Christmas season for the children and their families!  Together we can help make the holidays extraordinary for the kids at the hospital.  Some of the children at the Scottish Rite are in the hospital for long periods of time, and the experience we can give them is inspiring and magical.  
 
We feel grateful to have participated in this event for over 15 years and counting.  Our group sponsors and trims one tree in the motion lab.  Volunteers from our group congregate in the main foyer of the hospital for the opening ceremony and tree lighting event; afterwards we begin decorating.  Decorating takes about 30 minutes.  There will be an old fashioned band playing Christmas music, and popcorn and soft drinks will be offered during the ceremony.  After decorating is done, some of us take the opportunity stroll through the hospital to see the trees decorated by other groups (optional).  A meal is proudly served by volunteers after the tree decorating.
 
So come join in on the fun, and make the holidays exceptional for some very special kids and their families.
